  • This marks the second straight year the No. 9 seed upset the No. 8 seed in first-round MWC tournament action. In 2007, No. 9 seed Air Force beat No. 8 CSU, 47-46.
  • There were 11 ties and 12 lead changes in the contest.
  • Colorado State ended the game on a 25-5 run that started at the 7:13 mark.
  • CSU's Sara Hunter finished with four 3-pointers in the contest, tying for fourth in the school's record book for three-pointers made in an MWC tournament game.
  • CSU re-set its own MWC tournament record for 3-pointers in an opening-round game (5, vs. SDSU 3/7/06) with seven field goals from behind the arc.
  • UNLV tied the MWC tournament opening-round record of nine steals; previously set by CSU (vs. SDSU 3/7/06) and SDSU (vs. CSU 3/7/06).
  • CSU's Elle Queen tied a career-high 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, while grabbing seven rebounds.
  • The Rebels' Raquel Jupiter finished the game with nine rebounds, her highest rebounding game since she had 12 vs. BYU (2/16/08).
  • With the win, the Rams earned their first victory against a Mountain West opponent this season, marking the first time in MWC history (men or women) that a team has won an MWC tournament game after going winless in regular-season conference play.
  • The Rebels' Shamela Hampton finished with 16 points for her 19th double-figure scoring game.
  • The 19-point CSU win marks the largest win margin for the Rams in the 2007-08 season.
  • The Rams' Amaka Uzomah had 12 rebounds to set the school's single-game record for rebounds in an MWC tournament game, breaking the previous mark held by Melissa Dennett (??, vs. SDSU 3/7/06).
  • The Rams set the MWC tournament record for three-point percentage in a game with a 63.6 percent (7-of-11) clip.
