- Utah took sole possession of first place in the MWC race with a perfect 6-0 record.
- The Utes have now won 12 straight games, its longest win streak since winning 15 straight games in the 2000-01 season.
- The loss to Utah snapped a 12-game win streak and 16 straight victories at home for the Cowgirls.
- The Cowgirls drew a season-high 6,115 fans to the contest between the top teams in the conference.

- TCU's win at UNLV marked its second straight road victory. The Frogs had lost their previous six road games this season prior to a Jan. 15 win at New Mexico during its last opportunity.
- TCU outrebounded UNLV, 48-39. The team was led by Jenna Lohse and Helen Roden's career-highs rebounds of 10 and nine, respectively.
- UNLV's Shamela Hampton and Latoya Hunt each recorded a career-high four blocks in the loss to TCU.

- The Aztecs had four players in double-figures, including Allison Duffy's career-high 22 points in the win.
- The Rams shot a season-best 46.5 percent in the game, but committed a season-worst 30 turnovers.

- The 52-47 score was the closest game between the two teams in the history of the series. The previous closest game ever in the series was a 78-66 Cougars win in 1998.
- BYU's Mallary Gillespie-Carling scored 24 points, going 10-of-16 from the field and 4-of-7 from the three-point line. She also blocked the potential game-tying shot from Falcons guard Raimee Beck.
- Air Force's Pamela Findlay scored 12 points, highlighted by her 8-for-8 shooting at the free-throw line. Findlay has not missed a free throw since the Dec. 9 game against Wisconsin.
