NAIA Milestones

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- Eric Van Maanen, a Dordt (Iowa) College senior, reached the 1000 point plateau in men's basketball Wednesday night, February 13,  in an 86-81 overtime loss to Mount Marty (Iowa) in overtime.

Van Maanen entered the game with 991 points entered the 1000 point club midway through the first half.  Van Maanen ended the game with 22 points and has 1013 points currently.  Van Maanen was a first team all-GPAC selection last season and is currently averaging a team high 14.9 points per game.

Van Maanen is the 25th Dordt College men's basketball player to score at least 1000 career point and also ranks seventh all-time in career steals at Dordt College with 138.  Van Maanen has been the leading scorer for Dordt College the last two seasons.
