SIOUX CITY, Iowa - No. 11 Northwestern's (Iowa) Curt Schilling made a 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Red Raiders to a 93-90 upset win over No. 1 Morningside (Iowa) on Wednesday (Feb. 20) in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.

The loss cut the Mustangs' lead in the GPAC to one game over the second place Red Raiders with one game remaining. The Mustangs can still win the GPAC crown outright with a win against Dordt College on Saturday. The Mustangs,  who are 26-2 overall and 15-2 in the GPAC, are already assured of at least a share of the GPAC's regular season title.

Northwestern shot 51.5 percent from the field while posting the highest scoring total against the Mustangs this season. The Mustangs, meanwhile, shot 41.6 percent, including a 36.7 percent effort in the second half when the Red Raiders battled back from a 43-38 halftime deficit.

Curt Schilling poured in a game-high 29 points for the Red Raiders, followed by Kale Wiertzema with 24. Chad Schuiteman, a two-time first-team All-American, finished with nine points and eventually fouled  out.

Thomas Pargett scored a season's high 24 points to lead the Mustangs. Seth Atkins had one of his best scoring performances of the season with 19 points. Jack Rother and Matt Johnson also scored in double figures withh 14 and 10 points, respectively.

David Price grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Mustangs to a 44-42 advantage on the boards.

Rother led all performers with five assists.
