COLUMBIA, Ky. - No. 14 Union College hung on for a 5-3 win at No. 5 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College in a tennis duel featuring two teams from last year's NAIA Men's Tennis National Tournament on Wednesday.
Union jumped in the front with two wins in doubles' action. Luka Milicevic (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Juan Manuel Lorenzo (Barcelona, Spain) teamed up for the No. 2 doubles' point and the duo of Pablo Costa (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) and Rafael Millon (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won the No. 3 doubles' contest.
Millon, Costa and Milicevic won in singles' play to help seal the victory for the Bulldogs. Millon needed three sets to capture his point.
The Bulldogs snapped a two-match losing streak, both to Top-15 teams, with Wednesday's victory. Union improved to 9-2 on the season while Lindsey Wilson went to 4-5.
Union will host University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) for a 2 p.m. match next Thursday.
