KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Debbie Remmerde of Northwestern (Iowa) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008.
Remmerde, a senior guard from Rock Valley, Iowa, averaged 42.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in two wins for the Red Raiders last week. She shot 74 percent (28-for-38) from floor, 75 percent (9-for-12) from the three-point range and 100 percent (19-for-19) from the free-throw line. Remmerde scored 37 points against Sioux Falls and 47 points against No. 9 Concordia (Neb.) on the road.
