2008 Division I Women's Basketball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes Announced



Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) had five selections, tied for the most in 2008.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced 73 student-athletes have been named 2008 Daktronics-NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes.

A total of 29 schools are represented this season led by Bethel (Tenn.) and Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) with five selections each.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
