First Half Goal Leads Houghton Past Cornerstone

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Hannah Swift's goal with 10 minutes remaining in the first half was all the 14th-seed Houghton (13-2-3) Highlanders needed to advance past No. 19 Cornerstone in first round action at the 2007 NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Chelsea Adams played a ball in from the left side to Swift who scored her 19th goal of the season to give the Highlanders the 1-0 victory.

Houghton advances to the second round of play where they will face No. 3 Azusa Pacific at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Cornerstone ends their season at 13-6-2.
