The Eagles of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) Women's Volleyball earn win number 14 for the 2007 season and officially record the most wins in a single season in the program's history! What an honor to do so in front of an absolutely amazing home crowd on Senior Night 2007!
It took the Embry-Riddle Eagles three games (30-22, 30-17 and 30-20) to earn this milestone victory. "I really don't think I could have asked for a more fitting end to our final home match of the season," Head Coach Katy Meyer said. "Iwould have never guessed that this record setting night would come in our home gym on Senior Night. We are blessed. We have so many things to be grateful for during this season and tonight is an addition to the list."
Offensively the Eagles had 38 kills and posted a team hitting percentage of .321. Krista Kessel led the team with 13 kills while Alix Rice posted a team best .667 hitting percentage. Isabela Lachowski tallied a .471 hitting percentage with nine kills. Kensie Oakley posted four service aces while Bela Lachowski blocked six attacks and Jessica Stehle recorded 13 digs. Kessel and Cassie Lacey also reached double digits in digs with 10 each.
