ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The 2007 Navy football team will visit the White House on Monday, April 14 for a 1:15 p.m. ceremony with President George W. Bush in the Rose Garden. The team will be honored for winning the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for a school record fifth-consecutive year.
Navy was victorious over Air Force (31-20) and Army (38-3) to cap a perfect 8-0 mark by the Navy senior class against the other two Service Academies. The Mids have won 11-straight Service Academy games dating back to 2002.
Navy finished the 2007 with an 8-5 record and a school-record five-straight bowl appearance. The Mids led the nation in rushing for an NCAA record third-consecutive year, averaging a school record 348.8 yards per contest.
