FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - Senior Pat Springs hit a distance of 19'9 ¾" to finish in 10th place and earn All-American honors at the NCAA Championships held at the University of Arkansas'McDonnell Field.

Springs also picked up Indoor All-American honors in the event and became only the third 49er in program history to earn All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor track and field during the same sports year (Will Montgomery, 2000 and Shareese Woods, 2007).

Charlotte has seen 11 athletes, including Springs, pick up All-American honors during the program's history.

Later in the evening, senior Lamarra Currie wrapped up a phenomenal career with the 49ers with a 26th place finish in the 200 meter dash. Currie finished in a time of 24.20 seconds.

Currie earned multiple on the track honors during her illustrious four year career while equaling her on the track accomplishments in the classroom. Currie earned CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District honors on top of her Atlantic 10 Female Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete of the Year honors. 

Currie also boasts numerous school records and top five performances. 

Sophomore Darius Law is the only Niner left at the NCAA Championships as the Raleigh, N.C. native advanced to the 400 meter semifinals yesterday.

Law will take to the track tomorrow, Friday, at 7:25 p.m. CT in search of a spot in Saturday's final.

Friday's action will be on CBS College Sports starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.
