NEW ORLEANS, La. – After competing in the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday Oct. 31, the Charlotte cross country teams were once again ranked in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Southeast Regional Rankings released yesterday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The women's team remained in 10th place after placing second at the A-10 meet, while the men dropped from 14th to 15th after placing seventh at the conference championship.
This is the seventh ranking of the season and the men's team has been ranked in every poll, while the women have appeared in six of the polls.
Ranked at the top of the Southeast Region on the men's side is William & Mary, who is followed by NC State and Virginia. Five other A-10 squads are ranked in different regions; Saint Joseph’s (5th; Mid-Atlantic), Dayton (7th; Great Lakes), UMASS (7th; Northeast) La Salle (8th; Mid-Atlantic) and Temple (11th, Mid-Atlantic).
On the women's side, Duke is the top squad followed by Virginia and NC State. Charlotte remained in 10th place ahead of Wake Forest, Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Elon.
