Charlotte is coming off an 87-83 victory at St. Bonaventure in which senior Leemire Goldwire scored a career-high 39 points and head coach Bobby Lutz tied Jeff Mullins as the 49ers' all-time winningest coach with his 182nd victory as the 49ers head coach. Lutz owns a 9-26 record vs. Top 25 teams, including this season's 82-72 victory at #18/#19 Clemson. Lutz is 4-10 all-time vs. Top 25 opponents at Halton Arena. The 49ers last home win over a ranked opponent was a 91-90 decision over #18/#17 Cincinnati, Feb. 5, 2005.

LUTZ SHARES RECORD WITH MULLINS: With 182 wins as the 49ers head coach, Bobby Lutz has joined Jeff Mullins as the 49ers all-time winningest coaches. Jeff Mullins, a former Duke all-America who won a gold medal on the 1964 US Olympic team before a stellar NBA career that included a World Championship with the 1976 Golden State Warriors, posted a 182-142 record in 11 years with the 49ers (1986-96). Lutz owns a 182-120 record as the 49er head coach and with one more win will take sole possession of the school record.

This is only the sixth time in school history that a player has boasted four or more games of 30+ points.

MEN OF STEAL: Five 49ers have over 20 steals, this season. Leemire Goldwire, who ranks 2nd in the A-10 in steals has a team-high 43. Charlie Coley has 30, including a school-record tying 7 vs. Richmond. Lamont Mack has 27, Dijuan Harris, 24 and An'Juan Wilderness 21, including a rookie record six in his collegiate debut. Charlotte has had double-digit steals seven times, including 13 vs. Richmond and 10 vs. St. Bonaventure, this month.

CLOSE CALLS: 17 of Charlotte's 22 games have been decided by seven points or less (10-7); 8 games have been decided by 4 points or less: 5-3.

POINT - COUNTERPOINT: The 49ers point guard tandem of Dijuan Harris and Michael Gerrity own a combined 2.52 A-TO ratio (121-48). Harris ranks second in the A-10 with a 2.65 A-TO ratio while Gerrity owns a 2.36 A-TO) ratio that includes a season-high 7 assists at St. Bonaventure. Combined, they average 5.5 assists per game.
