Halton Arena - Charlotte 49ers basketball coach Bobby Lutz's weekly coach's show, "Lutz LIVE!", will be held this season at the Wild Wing Café on 9539 Pinnacle Drive off Mallard Creek Boulevard in the University City area.

P>The first official function with Wild Wing Café is a 49ers Hoops Tip-Off Party, Wednesday, November 4th from 7-8 p.m. The 2009-10 season begins the following evening with an exhibition game against Johnson C. Smith at Halton Arena.

Fans are invited to attend the Tip-Off party, Wednesday night and get a chance to meet and greet coach Lutz and talk 49ers basketball. The first radio show is slated for Thurs., Nov. 12.

The Lutz LIVE! radio show will be carried live on WFNZ-AM 610 "The Fan" or WBCN-AM 1660 "America's Talk" on Thursdays from 7-8 pm beginning November 12th and running through March with postseason plans to be announced. The show includes open dialogue with the 49ers 12th-year head men's basketball coach and is hosted by Matt Swierad, the Voice of the 49ers. The one-hour show, produced live, includes call-ins and questions from the audience in attendance. Each week a 49er player appears for a segment on the show.

We hope to have a loyal and enthusiastic group of Charlotte 49er fans on hand each night."

This is a fun format for me," said Lutz, the all-time winningest coach in 49ers history. "I am glad to have this media format to exchange dialogue with our fans. See you at Wild Wing Café."

Said Kiran Navare, owner - operator of this Wild Wing Café location, "We are excited to be hosting Coach Lutz and the show. We want to be a big part of college basketball in the area. I grew up a big A-10 fan and pull for St. Joe's, but the 49ers are my team and we'll have a lot of fun this year. Stay tuned for the 49er specials we will feature for Lutz Live and the TV parties."

All of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball games will be carried live on WBCN 1660-AM this season. Swierad will return for his 9th season as play-by-play voice of the 49ers and will also serve as host of "Lutz LIVE" for the 8th year.
