San Martin, Ca. - Junior Will Golden shot a final round of three-under par 69 and senior all-America Corey Nagy finished tied for third as the Charlotte 49ers tied for sixth at the 14-team Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle.
Nagy fired a one-under par 71 to complete the 56-hole event at eight-under par, 208. Olafur Loftsson shot one-over par 73 to finish tied for 18th at two-under par 214. Golden used his final round of 69 to break par for the tournament, coming in at one-under par 215 to tie for 23rd.
Charlotte finished the three-day event at three-under par. That tied the 49ers with 13th-ranked Southern California in the competitive field. Second-ranked Stanford (-24) held on for a three shot victory over top-ranked Oklahoma State (-21).
