Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers added a new tournament to their fall slate and former standouts Matt Mincer, Trevor Murphy and Jonas Enander Hedin performed well at this week's eGolf Professional Tour Championship in Southern Pines, N.C.
The 49ers, who missed a day of competition at the rain-shortened Brickyard Collegiate, will compete in the Aldila Intercollegiate, Oct. 26-27. The tournament will be held at Council Fire Country Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
In other 49ers golf news, former A-10 individual champion and team MVP Matt Mincer, finished in the top 10 of the eGolf Tour Championship at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club and Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club.
Mincer shot a seven-under par 65 in the final round to finish tied for ninth at nine-under par 203. Mincer shot 68-70-65 in his three rounds. Trevor Murphy (68-68-71) posted a top 20 finish with a seven-under par, 205 to tie for 19th. Jonas Enander Hedin (68-71-69) tied for 41st at four-under par, 208.
The trio of golfers were all key players in kickstarting Charlotte's current 5-year run of NCAA Tournament appearances and four-year run of A-10 titles.
