Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Charlotte 49ers golf team opens play Monday at the Aldila Scenic City Invitational at Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. The 49ers added the event to their scheduled after losing a day of competitioin at the rain-shortened Brickyard Intercollegiate.

The 17-team field is made up of Akron, Charlotte, College of Charleston, Eastern Michigan, Francis Marion, Furman, Iowa State, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Missouri, South Florida, Southern Miss, Western Carolina, Wichita State and host Chattanooga.

The two day event includes 36 holes on Monday and an 18-hole final round, Tuesday on the par 72, 6,999-yard course.

Charlotte's lineup is made up of senior Corey Nagy, who posted his first collegiate victory at the 2007 Scenic City Invitational, Ryan Wilson, Andy Sajevic, Olafur Loftsson and Paul Ferrier.
