Charlotte, N.C. - Charlotte 49ers senior all-America Corey Nagy (Charlotte, N.C./Vance H.S.) earned his second Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Performer of the Week honor of the season while teammate Andy Sajevic (Fremont, Neb./Fremont H.S.) was tabbed as the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second time.
Nagy fired a four-under par 68 in the final round of the Aldila Intercollegiate to climb into 4th-place overall, just one stroke away from the three-way tie for first. It was Nagy's second top five finish of the fall and his third top 15 finish, this year. Earlier in the fall he took individual medalist honors at the VCU Shootout and placed 12th at Minnesota's Gopher Invitational.
At Chattanooga's Aldila Intercollegiate, Nagy's fourth-place finish led Charlotte to a sixth-place finish in the 17-team event. He shot three rounds of par or better to card a five-under par 211.
Sajevic posted rounds of 73, 72, and 71 to finish the Aldila Intercollegiate at even-par, 216. He placed 17th in the event, marking his second top 20 finish of the fall. Earlier in the fall, Sajevic earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors with a fourth-place finish at the Gopher Invitational.
The 49ers complete their fall campaign, Nov. 9-11 at the CordeValle Collegiate in San Martin, Ca.
