Moritz Bernhoerster Named Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Philadelphia, Pa. - Charlotte freshman Moritz Bernhoerster was named Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Rookies of the Week, officials announced Monday.
Bernhoerster went 2-1 in both singles and doubles over the weekend, which included a 6-4, 6-3 victory against his No. 5 flight opponent from No. 35 Virginia Tech on Jan. 26.
His season record improves to 7-3 in singles play and 5-4 in doubles. He is the only Charlotte player with a winning record in singles and doubles play at this point of the season.
The Niners (0-3, 0-1 A-10) head to Chapel Hill Friday for a 3 p.m. match at No. 10 North Carolina.
