49ers Battle #17 George Washington On The Road, Saturday

The 49ers have won seven straight games including their first four A-10 games to move atop the league standings

The Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team, who have won seven straight games including their first four Atlantic 10 games, travel to #17 George Washington for a battle of two of the top teams in the A-10, Saturday, January 26 at 2 pm.

The 49ers (13-7, A-10: 4-0) currently sit atop of the A-10 standings as the only undefeated team in league play. George Washington is currently tied with Temple and Xavier for second place in the A-10 with a 3-1 league record.

The 49ers travel to George Washington on a five-game road winning streak after a 64-51 win at Dayton this past Tuesday. In the Dayton game, Traci Ray led all scorers with a career-high 21 points.

Danielle Burgin leads the 49ers in scoring at 11.5 points per game and rebounding at 8.7 boards per game. Sabrina Gregory, who leads the A-10 in free-throw percentage at 86.2%, is second on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game. Gregory leads the team and ranks among the A-10 leaders in steals (35) and assists (86). Ray is third on the team in scoring at 9.1 points per game after recording three straight double-figure scoring games. Ray also ranks among the league leaders in assists (75) and steals (33). Erin Floyd is fourth on the team in scoring at 8.2 points per game and she is second on the team in rebounding at 5.3 boards per game.
