Games Notes for the Temple game ![]()
The Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team, who has won five of their last seven road games, plays Atlantic 10 leader Temple (13-10, A-10: 6-1) on the road, Wednesday, February 6 at 12 pm.
The 49ers (14-9, A-10: 5-2) currently are in fourth place a game behind George Washington, Temple and Xavier who are all tied atop the Atlantic 10 standings.
This game will mark the fourth meeting between Charlotte and Temple. Temple holds a 2-1 series lead and the Owls have won two straight in the series including a 77-69 win the last time the two teams played in Philadelphia, January 6, 2006.
Junior center Danielle Burgin continues to lead the 49ers in scoring (11.3 ppg) and rebounding (8.6). Senior guard Sabrina Gregory is second on the team in scoring (10.9 ppg) while leading the team in assists (94). Sophomore forward Erin Floyd is third on the team in scoring (8.7 ppg) and second in rebounding (5.1 rpg). Junior guard Traci Ray is fourth on the team in scoring (8.4 ppg) while leading the team in steals (38). Sophomore guard Wendy Stywalt, who has scored 12 points in each of Charlotte's last two games, averages 7.7 points and 4.8 rebounds.
