49ers Women's Hoops Players Return To Campus

The 49ers return four starters and eight letterwinners off a 2007-08 team that made the program's sixth straight postseason appearance

Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team, which has made a school-record six straight postseason tournament appearances, has returned to campus with the 2008 fall semester starting on Monday, August 25. The 49ers begin individual workouts on September 2. The 49ers return four starters led by seniors Danielle Burgin and Traci Ray and eight letterwinners off a team that won 18 games and participated in the WNIT.

The 49ers individual workouts will lead into the first practice which is Friday, October 17.

Charlotte begins preparation in early September for a 2008-09 schedule which begins with a tournament at NC State, November 15-16. The 49ers home schedule is loaded with a nationally televised game against Notre Dame as well as home contests against UAB, Wake Forest, George Washington, Temple, Dayton and Xavier.
