"I am excited about the number of goals that we are scoring especially since they are coming in a variety of ways," Charlotte coach Jon Lipsitz said. "It is also exciting that we are having different players scoring multiple goals for us. A lot of times our goals have started with plays from our defense which shows that we have bought into the team concept that it takes all 11 players playing together to be successful."

Beam scored her first goal when she headed in a Whitney Weinraub cross in the 4th minute. Earlier this season, Weinraub recorded a hat trick of her own in the 49ers 8-0 win over Tennessee Tech.

Charlotte's Danielle Mayeaux headed in a Beam corner kick in the 10th minute giving the 49ers a 2-0 lead. Mayeaux's goal marked the second straight game that she has scored on a header off a Beam corner kick.

St. Bonaventure's Dakota Carroll cut Charlotte's lead in half when she scored a goal off assists from Anna Cunningham and Tori Burchett in the 40th minute.

Handra gave the 49ers a 3-1 halftime lead when she one-touched a scoring shot off a Beam free kick in the 43rd minute.

Charlotte's Sam Huecker got into the scoring when she put another Weinraub assist into the back of the net in the 83rd minute. Huecker's goal was her fourth of the season which moved her into a tie for second on the team in goals with Handra and Oni Bernard.

The 49ers' Nikki Labuda Czaplicki made the final score, 8-2, when she scored off a Handra assist in the 87th minute. Czaplick's goal was her third of the season and the 23rd goal of her career..
