Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer senior midfielder Lindsey Ozimek was one of 24 players that participated in the United States U-23 National Team training camp at the Home Depot Center in California, January 12-20. "It is a tremendous honor to play for the United States," Ozimek said. "I get chills every time I put on the National Team uniform and see the United States printed on the front of it. I am really honored to have the chance to represent the United States in international competition."
Ozimek is joined on the U-23 Women's National Team training roster by other collegiate players from Connecticut, Florida, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Santa Clara, Stanford, Texas, Tennessee and UCLA.

Ozimek, who was a three-time All-Atlantic 10 and Atlantic 10 All-Tournament selection, played an integral role in helping the 49ers win 45 games and capture two A-10 regular-season titles and the 2007 A-10 Tournament title during her stellar four-year career.
Ozimek, who has a 4.00 GPA in Special Education, was named to the first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American women's soccer team, selected by CoSIDA.
