Two-Time A-10 Champs Announce Spring Exhibition Schedule

The 49ers return 19 letterwinners off their 2007 NCAA Tournament team

Charlotte, NC - The two-time Atlantic 10 Champion Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team announced their 2008 Spring Exhibition Game Schedule. Over the past two seasons, the 49ers have claimed two A-10 regular season titles, the 2007 A-10 Tournament Title and the program's third-ever bid the NCAA Tournament this past fall. Charlotte returns 19 letterwinners from the 2007 team which tied the school record for wins in a season with 16 victories.

Charlotte began their spring exhibition schedule with two games at NC State last Saturday, March 29. The 49ers return to action with a game against former 49ers women's soccer standouts, Saturday, April 5 at 4 pm at Transamerica Field.

The 49ers play their next two spring games at Transamerica Field. First, the 49ers face Big South Conference foe Winthrop at home, Wednesday, April 9 at 7:30 pm. Then, Charlotte battles the Ontario `92 Provincial Team, Monday, April 14 at 4:30 pm.

Charlotte concludes their spring schedule with two road games. First, the 49ers face cross-county rival Davidson on the road, Wednesday, April 16 at 7 pm. Then, the 49ers conclude their spring schedule at SEC foe Kentucky, Sunday, April 20 at 1 pm.

The 49ers return to action in the fall when they begin the 2008 regular season at perennial national power North Carolina, Friday, August 22.
