Whitney Weinraub Earned A-10 Player of the Week Honors For the Second Straight Week

Weinraub was named A-10 Co-Player of the Week for her performance against Ohio State and Pittsburgh

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer sophomore forward Whitney Weinraub earned Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week honors for the second straight week after her performance against Ohio State and Pittsburgh. She is the first player in the program's history to claim A-10 Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks.

Weinraub earned her second straight A-10 Player of the Week award after scoring the game-winning goal in the 49ers 1-0 victory at Pittsburgh, Sunday. She also scored the 49ers goal in their 1-1 double overtime tie at Ohio State last Friday.

She currently leads the team with five goals and 11 points.

Weinraub and the rest of the 49ers women's soccer team return to action against ACC foes Wake Forest and Virginia Tech in the Wake Forest Nike Tournament this weekend, September 12-14.
