We had a good week of training this week, which was really needed after struggling at the Wake Forest tournament. We worked really hard and by Saturday we were looking really sharp. I didn't train this week though, which was tough because I really wanted to play. Instead, I spent a lot of time in the pool, on the bike or on the elliptical doing fitness. It was okay but it isn't like playing at all. You don't realize how much you enjoy getting out there and working hard in training until somebody tells you that you can't do it anymore.

My husband finished his first course of army training for the year this week. He came home on Thursday and is going to be here for about a week. I am really excited to get to spend so much time with him. But I know I have a really busy week of school coming up so I am going to have to try to balance my time accordingly.

Sunday we played Francis Marion at home. The game was supposed to be away but their field was flooded so we stayed in Charlotte which was exciting for us because we haven't played a home game in so long. We scored within the first 30 seconds of the game which set the tone for the rest of the game. We won 6-0 and so we got to play nearly everyone again which was exciting. Even though I knew I wasn't going to play especially after we got ahead so early, I kept waiting for that moment when Coach would look down the bench and tell me to go warm -up. I really missed playing for the last week. I am looking forward to getting back to training this week and preparing for conference play. Our first conference game is this Friday against LaSalle at home. I hope to see you all there!!!!
