Taylorsville, N.C. - Following up on a 2-0 weekend to start fall play, Charlotte traveled to the northern end of the Tar Heel state and split its doubleheader with Appalachian State on Saturday in Taylorsville.

In the second game, Charlotte's offense racked up nine runs as it defeated the Mountaineers to earn the split doubledip with a 9-1 victory.

Senior Cee Brooks had a strong performance at the plate by going 2-3 with a homerun over the left center field fence, while Tenaya Tucker was also 2-3 with a double and Natalyn Blanton had a perfect 3-3 performance as she nearly hit the cycle by recording a triple, double and a single.

In the circle, sophomore hurler Katy Hackett picked up the win for the Niners.
