Bristol. Tenn. - The Charlotte 49ers continued play in Bristol, Tenn. and dropped a neutral-site decision to Michigan State 7-0 to finish the weekend. Charlotte is now 3-4 on the young season.

At No. 1 Christine Bader and Whitney Wilson downed Charlotte's Ana Spivakovsky and Koren Fleming, 8-4, while MSU's Ana Milosavljevic and Manon Noe defeated Candace Cunningham and Kimber Redfern, 8-2, at No. 2. In the third doubles flight, Lindsey Lonergan and Stephanie Kebler blanked the 49ers' Yana Stoeva and Gabi Vergara, 8-0.

The Spartans kept momentum into singles action. At No. 1, Bader took out Spivakovsky, 7-5, 6-2. At No. 2 singles, Noe downed Fleming, 6-0, 6-2. MSU's Kebler defeated Redfern at No. 3, 7-5, 6-4. At No. 4, Lonergan upended Yana Stoeva, 6-0, 6-0, while Milosavljevic defeated Candace Cunningham at No. 5. At six singles, Ally Wickman completed the sweep for the Spartans, taking out Gabi Vergara 6-1, 6-2.

Charlotte heads to Elon for a 2:30 p.m. match.
