Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team got back on track with a 6-1 home win over Coastal Carolina Thursday afternoon at the Phillips Tennis Complex. Charlotte is now 4-9 on the season.
The top doubles pair of Ana Spivakovsky and Yudeshnee Pillay were able to more to 10-2 together with a number-one doubles victory, 8-6. Kimber Redfern and Gabi Vergara moved to 2-1 together with a win at number-three, 8-4 to help Charlotte clinch the doubles point.
In singles play, Charlotte got wins by Spivakovsky, Pillay, Koren Fleming, Redfern and Vergara. Spivakovsky improved to 13-11 in singles play at number-one, while Pillay stands at 13-10, playing at number-two.
Charlotte will look to begin a winning streak with a trip to Appalachian State Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.
