Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team took a 6-1 loss at home to Winthrop Wednesday afternoon at the Phillips Tennis Complex. Charlotte is now 4-11 on the season.
Junior Yudeshnee Pillay was the lone point-winner for Charlotte, taking a 6-4, 6-0 victory at number-one singles. She is now 15-10 on the season in singles play, with this as her first match at number-one for the Niners.
Charlotte travels to Greenville to take on East Carolina Saturday at 9 a.m.
