Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Both junior Kimber Redfern and sophomore Gabi Vergara made their respective flight's final by virtue of winning their women's tennis semifinal matches for Charlotte Saturday at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by Alabama.

Both 49ers won in straight sets. Redfern defeated Alabama's Shelley Godwin in a 6-3, 6-4 result. She faces Jessica Diamond of Samford in Sunday's final of the Blue Bracket.

Vergara took out Ashley Pierson of Murray State 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the Yellow Bracket final. She takes on Robyn Jones of Memphis Sunday.

Neither Charlotte pair in the doubles brackets were able to capture their titles. The freshmen pair of Julia Junker and Andrea Rivera fell to Ferancova and Mayuk of Mississippi State in the Gold Final by an 8-2 margin.

In the silver draw, Redfern and Candace Cunningham were defeated by Lange and Siegel of Tulane 8-5.

Charlotte will send four other singles players into consolation matches Sunday, whiles doubles play was completed Saturday.
