Redfern Wins Blue Bracket at Alabama Fall Women's Tournament

Junior Finishes 4-0 in Singles Play, 2-1 in Doubles Play

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Charlotte junior Kimber Redfern won the Blue Bracket Sunday at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama Sunday in women's tennis action. She defeated Jessica Diamond of Samford in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

Also on Sunday, two other Niners won in consolation action. Senior Koren Fleming defeated Lynsey Bochenek of Murray State in the White Bracket by a final of 6-1, 6-2. In the Gold Bracket, freshman Andrea Rivera upended Stephanie Parkinson of Samford 6-3, 6-1.

Charlotte next hits the courts in two weeks on October 10, when they travel to UNC Wilmington for more fall tournament action.
