BOSTON -- A pair of North Carolina Central University Eagles that had high hopes entering the 2008 AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, struggled among the nation's top runners and jumpers on Sunday. Christopher Davis, a junior sprinter from Charlotte, N.C., recorded his slowest time of the season in the 60-meter dash (6.82 seconds) and failed to advance. Mark Davis, a sophomore jumper from Cape Coral, Fla., failed to clear the starting high jump height of 2.12 meters. The two Eagles qualified for the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships among the top 10 athletes in the nation in their respective events. |
