With 20 years of coaching experience, Smith is in his first year as the Eagles' pitching coach.

Having honed his coaching skills in the AAU and Showcase ranks, he is extremely personable in his approach to bringing energy and creative ideas to the NCCU baseball program. The pitchers enjoy working with him and continue to develop under his leadership and guidance.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from North Carolina Central University in May 1985.

"Coach White's resume' speaks for itself," Smith said. "I am honored that he asked me to help with the development of his pitching staff."
