The North Carolina Central University men's golf team opened its 2008 spring schedule by visiting Jackson State University, who hosted the 2008 Pizza Hut Bell South Invitational at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Choctaw, Miss.

Maylon James Fowler was the top performer for the Eagles, as he tied for 33rd place with Chicago State's Shawn Baxter with a 79-79 (158) score. Chris Winters tied for 38th place 81-79 (160), with teammate Josue Garza 85-75.

NCCU will return to action Mar. 16 for the WSSU Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC.
