GAME ONE- The North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles dropped a pair to the Hampton University Lady Pirates in a doubleheader played Saturday afternoon. NCCU was defeated by scores of 14-3, 7-2.

The Lady Eagles had trouble generating offense, and had defensive lapses in both games that helped to open the door for HU.

NCCU had as many as six errors in game one. NCCU got off to a slow start, the Lady Eagles first run didn't come until the bottom of the 1st inning. Sophia Blue started off the inning with a single, she would later score the run off an error from the catcher.

That's the way things stayed until the 3rd inning when Hampton would push 10 runs across to take a 12-1 lead. HU would add two more runs in the fourth inning to push their final victory margin to 14-3.

NCCU got two hits off the bat of Kristina Williams.

Kristen Schooler pitched all 5 innings; she gave up 12 hits and 14 runs.

GAME TWO- The Lady Eagles were slow out the gate, but finished the game strong. The Lady Eagles were defeated in game two by the Lady Pirates 7-2. The Eagles managed to pound out six hits and score 2 runs.

Sophia Blue led the way for the Eagles, she had a two hit performance.

Kristen Schooler pitched seven innings as she faced 40 batters. Schooler gave up seven hits but did manage to strike out two batters.
