Staff Additions Named
Bears Announce Three Additions To Staff

GREELEY, Colo. -- University of Northern Colorado director of athletics Jay Hinrichs announced the addition of three people to the athletics department staff.

 

Sarah Adams has been named the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Cody Hodgeson joins the Bears as the Strength & Conditioning Assistant and Scott Ward will become the new Media Relations Assistant Director.

 

Adams has most recently served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at the University of New Mexico. There she oversaw the compliance for 21 sports, as well as financial aid processing. Prior to New Mexico, Adams acted as the compliance coordinator at Weber State and was the assistant for sport management and governance in the Patriot League office. She received her bachelor's degree in sports management from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2001 and her master's degree in sports administration from Xavier in 2004.

 

Hodgeson joins the strength & conditioning staff from Central Connecticut State where he was a graduate assistant. He also has done internships with Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Hodgeson earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Northern Arizona in 2006 and is currently finishing his master's in physical education from Central Connecticut State.

 

Ward has been the assistant sports editor of the Sun Tribune newspapers in Kansas City, Mo., for the past two-and-a-half years. He has led a staff of five writers in production of sports sections for six weekly community newspapers. Prior to that he worked at both The Kansas City Star and the Columbia Missourian papers. He graduated with a bachelor's in journalism from the University of Missouri in 2004.
