LINCOLN, Neb. - Northern Colorado had two student-athletes compete at the 2008 Midwest NCAA Track & Field Regional over the weekend. Sophomore Rachel Stevens tied for 12^th in the high jump and freshman Terrence McGaughy was 25^th in the 100 meters.

Stevens tied for 12^th after clearing 5-7.25, tying common opponent Niomi Ridge of Colorado State, whom she has dueled all season long. Both are still eligible to receive at-large berths to the NCAA Championship, though unlikely.

McGaughy clocked a 10.96 to finish 25^th in the 100 meters on Friday evening and withdrew from competition in the 200 meters.

Stevens and McGaughy were the first two student-athletes at Northern Colorado to qualify for postseason competition since the move to Division I.
