THIBODAUX, La. - The Colonels will be featured live once again by Cox Sports Television this Saturday at 3 p.m. when they travel to take on the Cowboys of McNeese State. Viewing audiences must check with their local cable provider to see if the game will be made available in their viewing area. The Colonels (6-17, 1-7) enter the game riding a seven game losing streak, while the Cowboys (8-11, 2-5) have not been so hot either having dropped their last three contest. In last season's two-game series, both teams won on their home floor. Nicholls won the first match of last season's conference series, 61-53, in Stopher Gym, and McNeese State defeated the Colonels, 77-76, the last game of the season. Former Colonel Stefan Blaszczynski scored a career high 33-points in the 77-76 loss to close out his four-year stint with Nicholls. With the loss, Nicholls needed help to get into the Southland Conference Tournament, and failed to receive it as their season came to an end. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. on Cox Sports Television. Listeners can also tune into 105.9 FM KBZE and 640 AM KTIB locally to hear the play-by-play by Seth Thomas, and those outside the local area can pick up the feed on www.kbze.com. Also, live stats will be made available on the internet by clicking on the GameTracker link at www.geauxcolonels.com. ###### |
