THIBODAUX, La. - Nicholls and Lamar will square off in the Montagne Center in Beaumont, Tex. on Thursday night at 7 p.m.

The Colonels (9-20, 4-10) are riding a two-game winning streak heading into their clash with the league-leading Cardinals (18-9, 12-2) on Thursday night. Lamar is trying to secure the No. 1 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament while Nicholls is playing for pride the rest of the way.

In the previous meeting between the two teams earlier this season, Lamar defeated Nicholls 72-68 in overtime on the hardwood of Stopher Gym to improve to 17-3 all-time against the Colonels. NICH's Ryan Bathie, who is the SLC's reigning player of the week, had a game high 22-points and enters this match up with 201 career made three-pointers.

True freshman Anatoly Bose had 18-points in the first go around with the Cardinals to go along with a then career best nine rebounds. Bose enters the game leading the team in rebounds with a 4.8 average per contest to go along 10.4 points a game.

Lamar used a strong performance from the free-throw line in their overtime win on Feb. 7, which included 14 consecutive free ones to end the game with the victory. For the game, the Cardinals made 21-of-35 from the charity stripe.
