THIBODAUX, La. - After a 20-period practice yesterday afternoon, the Colonels went back to the practice fields today for another 20-period session.

The No. 13 Colonels worked on installing their game plan against No. 6 McNeese State yesterday and continued to do so today. The defense also focused on 1st and 10 situations while the offense took some time to work on their 2nd and long plays. Special teams got some reps in on their punt and punt block schemes.

Nicholls (5-1, 2-0) is off to its best overall start since joining the Southland Conference in 1991 and is 2-0 in league play for only the second time in history. McNeese State (6-0, 2-0) is one of five undefeated teams in Division I-Football Championship Subdivision, and has been ranked in the Top-10 all season.

It will also be the Colonels homecoming game, and there will be many festivities leading up to and during the game. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. in John L. Guidry Stadium. The game will be broadcasted by WHNO Channel 20 in New Orleans, and whether the game will be televised live or tape delayed will be decided later this week. If the game is tape-delayed, the battle will air at 10 a.m.

Cox Cable and Charter subscribers will be able to view the game on Channel 20 on both cable servers.
