THIBODAUX, La. - The Lady Colonel basketball squad will host the second-to-last home game of the season Saturday afternoon as Central Arkansas visits Stopher Gym for a 2 p.m. tip-off.

The Lady Colonels are looking to snap a seven-game losing streak with a win over the Sugar Bears, having lost Thursday night's contest 74-69 at Northwestern State. Central Arkansas is coming off of a 67-52 upset victory over Southeastern Louisiana Thursday evening.

Nicholls (5-19, 3-10 SLC) has been led throughout the season by senior guard Katherine Plummer, who is climbing her way up the Colonel record books. Plummer leads the Colonels offensively and defensively, averaging 17.8 ppg and 5.4 rpg this season.

Heading into Saturday's contest with the Sugar Bears, Plummer sits at fourth all-time in scoring with 1,234 career points in 99 games. She is 22 points away from sole posession of second place for points in a career.

Plummer has 228 steals through her four years at Nicholls, putting her in second place in career steals, and has dished out 265 career assists, good enough for seventh all-time.

The Lady Colonels are nearly back to full strength, having played several recent games with as few as seven players due to an injury-plagued roster.

Central Arkansas (7-20, 5-9 SLC) is led by Laura Beth Anderson (10.9 ppg) and Kia Lee (10.3 ppg). Anderson is the team leader in assists per game (5.3) and steals per game (2.3).

The two teams are at the bottom of the SLC East Division standings, looking for end-of-the-season wins to keep their SLC Tournament hopes alive.
