BRASELTON, GA - Junior Theunette Van der Walt fired a seven-over par during the final round of the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational to finish tied for 11th place with a 233 (78-76-79). This marks the sixth time in eight tournaments this season that Van der Walt has earned a top 20 finish for the Lady Colonels.

Nicholls, who went into the final round in seventh place, fell two spots to finish ninth overall out of the 17-team field. The Lady Colonels finished with a 957 (321-319-317) for the 54-hole event.

The Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational was held at par 71, 6,000 yard Chateau Resort on the Chateau Course.

Other Lady Colonel golfers included freshman Elyse Kinley (T28 - 82-83-74=239), sophomore Emiley Patton (T34 - 81-80-80=241), senior Daniele Dunlop (T44 - 81-81-84=246) and senior Natalie Robinson (T49 - 81-82-85=248).

University of Tennessee-Chattanooga won the overall team title with a 928 (319-306-303), while Emma de Groot of UT-Chattanooga took home the individual medalist honors by shooting a nine-over par 222 (77-74-71).

The Lady Colonels will take a three-week bream before closing out their season in the Southland Conference Championships on April 21-23 in Beaumont, Texas held at Beaumont Country Club.
