HUNTSVILLE, Texas - Heavy rain forced postponement of most of the first day of the Sam Houston State Women's Golf Invitational. Originally scheduled for a shot-gun start at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, the 12 teams participating teed off at 3:30 p.m. Monday. No team finished more than 12 holes. The tournament will conclude Tuesday morning on the 6,143-yard par 72 course at Raven's Nest. Tournament officials hope to get in 24 more holes to decide the team and individual titles with a total of 36 holes. Competing in the event with Nicholls is Central Arkansas, Centenary, Houston Baptist, Lamar, Sam Houston State, McLennand, Northwood, Oklahoma City, Redlands, and two teams from Texas-San Antonio. |
