DeKalb, Ill. - If you are looking for a fun and inexpensive way to catch a Northern Illinois men's basketball game? Look no further than Saturday's contest against Ohio (2 p.m.), as $2 tickets are available as a part of Red Cross Day and Youth Basketball Day at the NIU Convocation Center.
Half of all ticket sales from Saturday's contest will go to the Red Cross of DeKalb. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a raffle for a football autographed by new Northern Illinois head football coach Jerry Kill and a basketball autographed by the NIU men's basketball team. A buffet will be available for the price of $7, including drink. All proceeds will go towards the Red Cross of DeKalb.
In honor of Youth Basketball Day, all local youth basketball teams are invited to attend Saturday's game against the Bobcats for the low price of $2 per ticket. The youth basketball discount tickets can be purchased at the door on game day. Following the game, there will be an autograph session with the NIU men's basketball team, as well as a lay-up line on the NIU Convocation Center court.
Saturday is also `Alumni Day' for all former members of the Northern Illinois men's basketball program. Doors to the NIU Convocation Center will open at 10 a.m. with tip-off for the `Alumni Game' slated for 11 a.m.
