DeKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois Huskies have set kickoff times for the September and October home football games for the afternoon, with all four contests set to be broadcast by Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

NIU's home opener versus Indiana State will kickoff at 2 p.m. (Central) while the October Mid-American Conference contests against Miami (Ohio) on Oct. 11, Toledo on Oct. 18 and Bowling Green on Oct. 25 will all begin at 3 p.m. (CT).

The Huskies' two November home games, on Wednesday, Nov. 12 versus Central Michigan and Tuesday, Nov. 25 against Navy, have been scheduled for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m. kickoffs, respectively, by ESPN and the Mid-American Conference. The CMU game will air on either ESPN2 or ESPN360, while the Northern Illinois-Navy game will be seen on ESPN2.

For the fifth straight year, Northern Illinois games will be shown throughout the region on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. The network has broadcast 18 NIU home games since 2004 and is also the home of "Inside Huskie Sports," which airs weekly during football season on CSN.

"Our partnership with Comcast SportsNet provides fans with a great way to keep up with the Huskies and gives Northern Illinois University a tremendous presence in the Chicago market and across the region," said NIU Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Broadcasting Todd Garzarelli. "The collaboration is a win-win for both parties and we are thrilled to see it continue in 2008."

Overall, Northern Illinois has had 42 games televised over the last four seasons, including 10 in 2007. A record 13 Huskie games were shown on TV in 2006.

Game times for Northern Illinois road games at Western Michigan (Sept. 6, 6 p.m.), Eastern Michigan (Sept. 27, 1 p.m.) and Ball State (Nov. 5, 7 p.m.) have also been announced while the starting times for road games at Minnesota (Aug. 30), Tennessee (Oct. 4) and Kent State (Nov. 18) are still TBA.
