Toledo 5, Buffalo 1 in PDF Format 
Rockford, Ill. - The University of Toledo got off on the right foot at the 2008 Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Championship with the 5-1 opening-round victory over the University at Buffalo at the Clock Tower Racquet Club on Thursday morning.
With the victory, Toledo improves to 16-12, while the Bulls end their season with a mark of 6-17. Toledo will be back in action on Friday at 2 p.m., as the Rockets square off with No. 2 seeded Ball State.
Toledo took an early 1-0 lead over Buffalo as they picked up the doubles point with victories at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The Rockets' tandem of Jared Miller and Nutthavit Likitkumchorn blanked Octavian Stane and Juan Carlos Wynter, 8-0, at No. 2 doubles. Toledo's Wade Ward and Tyler Sonkin picked up the 8-3 triumph over Alexis Lluis and Nikesh Singh Panthlia at No. 3 doubles.
The Rockets picked up four more victories in singles action, as Jared Miller claimed the 6-1, 6-3 win over Marcelo Mazzeto at No. 1, while his brother Jay upended Lluis at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-4. Likitkumchorn picked up the 6-2, 6-2 victory over Stane at No. 4 singles, while Sonkin defeated Wynter, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5 singles.
