UALR Team Results Day 2 Get Acrobat Reader

The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team finished 17th overall Tuesday at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Classic.

 

Sophomore Molly Schemm (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) and junior Kim Weber (Bernard, Iowa/Cascade) led the way for the Panthers, as the duo tied for 60th place with identical scores of 244 on the Diamante Golf Course. Schemm fired a third round score of 83 while Weber posted a low 79.

 

Junior Heather Frye (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) and redshirt freshman Sabrina Danielson (Pleasant Hill, Iowa/Southeast Polk) finished the tournament tied for 64th place. Each posted a score of 245. Frye shot a third round 83 and Danielson registered an 82.

 

Sophomore Ann Arnason (Grand Forks, N.D./Red River) slipped down one spot on the leader board, tying for 67th place with a score of 256. Arnason shot an 84 in the final round.

 

The University of Tulsa took first-place honors at the tournament with a score of 912. Oral Robert's Christy Carter won individually with a score of 217 after defeating Florida International's Paula Hurtado in a playoff.

 

The Panthers return to action next weekend when they travel to Carbondale, Ill., for the Saluki Invitational, March 30-31.
