Highlanders End Florida Trip with a Loss

FORT MYERS, FL - The NJIT men's tennis team closed its Spring Break Florida trip with a loss to Wisconsin-Green Bay, falling 6-1 to the Phoenix in what was the second match of the day for the Highlanders.

Steve Erickson, playing in his customary number one singles slot, was the only scorer for NJIT, taking a 6-1, 6-3 decision from Tim Prudlow.

Wisconsin-Green Bay (7-8) won all the other team points, claiming the doubles point with wins in both contested slots and the then sweeping second through sixth singles. All of the singles wins were in straight sets,

The Highlanders (9-7) are scheduled to visit Wagner on Wednesday with a start time of 3 pm on Staten Island.
